Who am I?
I am a full-time student who is currently pursuing Master degree on Computing focusing on Web-Development studies. This is my second year studying IT in Melbourne, Australia. On December 16 2008, I got my Bachelor Degree from RMIT University on Information Technology streaming on Multimedia Design.
When I was in High School, I never once dreamt that I’ll be continuing my study here in Australia due to the fact that I know how difficult the financial problem has been on my family. Rising 4 kids is not an easy job to do for my parents because I’m the first to taste the quality of a good education, it just would not be fair for my siblings if they couldn’t taste the same. Born on 18 July 1987 in LubukLinggau which is located around 640 KM (8 hours approximately by train or cars), I live my life happily without knowing how it is like life in other cities in Indonesia. When I was in elementary school I got the chance to know Jakarta city on my holiday which is in my opinion was very cool at that time regardless of any traffic jams here and there. By that time, I have decided to continue my High School there (straight out of the box).
I was given 3 choices of High Schools at that time, they are Sekolah Pelita Harapan (SPH), Bina Nusantara (BiNus) High School, and Sekolah Santa Laurensia. I passed the test quiet easily on Santa Laurensia but I was struggling to do the entrance tests on others. SPH was the most difficult one at that time because everything there is to be delivered in English and they got a lot of native teachers as well. I failed the test but I passed on BiNus School though I only got grade ‘B’. In High School I started to put my interest in Web and Multimedia Design, this is the time when I learned to create my very first HTML page.
Advancing to University, I started to discover that Web and Multimedia Design is probably the path that I will be taking later in the future considering other options that are available. In times, I am sharpening my skills on this particular area and I believe that one day this interest will lead me to a better future. Till now, my interest on Web and Multimedia Design has never been faded away, instead it keeps on growing bigger and better. So, Viva Web and Multimedia Design.
